This is seaweed as you have never quite seen it before — found on the shores of Stewart Island/Rakiura, where the southern sea delivers its most painterly work to those who look closely enough. The colour range across a single specimen is extraordinary: blush pink at the tips, cream through the mid-frond, warm yellow where the light catches it, and deep burgundy at the base where the pigment concentrates.

No florist arranged this. No artist mixed these colours. This is the sea's own palette — the result of depth, temperature, light, and the particular chemistry of these southern waters working together over time.

Soft-edged and luminous, Petal brings a warmth and femininity to any space that is entirely its own. Not floral in the conventional sense — something rarer than that. Something that could only have come from this coastline, at this latitude, in this light.
