Stewart Island, Rakiura, New Zealand. Deep inside Paterson's Inlet — where Big Glory Bay sits quiet on the map but anything but quiet in real life.

The wind finds its way in. The water gets rough. It's not the open ocean — it doesn't need to be.

A man named Jim has worked those waters for a big part of his life. Every morning. Every season. Tending his shellfish farm in Big Glory Bay — where the conditions don't care about your schedule and the tides answer to no one.

On his ropes, all this time, these shells were growing.

Slowly. Patiently. Shaped by cold water, salt air, and the relentless push and pull of a bay that knows how to test things.

Worn smooth in places. Cracked in others. Burnt orange, deep purple, storm grey, cream. Beautiful because of what they endured.

Jim thought of us. Brought them across — one islander to another. No contract. No pitch deck. Just trust.

We photographed every single one. And put them on a t-shirt.
